# Using fairly.day as an agent

Everything below is public and needs no credentials.

## Read

- Request any page with `Accept: text/markdown` to get Markdown instead of HTML. The same file is at
the path plus `.md` (`/how-it-works.md`; the home page is `/index.md`, the Spanish home page
`/es.md`). Every page's `<head>` links its Markdown twin.
- https://fairly.day/llms.txt is the curated page index, and https://fairly.day/sitemap-index.xml
  lists every indexable URL.
- robots.txt states the content preferences (`Content-Signal`) that apply to every crawler.

## Connect

- MCP: `https://fairly.day/mcp`, Streamable HTTP, read-only. Tools `site_page_list`,
`site_page_search` and `site_page_get`; every page is also a resource (URI = its URL). Server
  card: https://fairly.day/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json
- A2A: `https://fairly.day/a2a`, JSON-RPC (protocol 1.0; `message/send` from 0.3 also works). Skills
`site-search` (passages matching a question, with page links) and `page-fetch` (a page as
  Markdown). Agent card: https://fairly.day/.well-known/agent-card.json
- Both retrieve what the site says. Neither writes, summarises or generates.
- WebMCP: pages on fairly.day register tools with `document.modelContext` when the browser supports
  it. They are `search_fairly_site`, `read_fairly_page`, `open_fairly_page` and `compute_settle_up`.
While Fairly is in early access, the early-access form is also a declarative tool,
  `join_fairly_waitlist`, which the person submits.
- Every API and its description: https://fairly.day/.well-known/api-catalog (RFC 9727).
- Skills like this one: https://fairly.day/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json

## Credentials

There is no agent registration and no third-party access to Fairly accounts. The Fairly API
(https://api.fairly.day, OpenAPI at https://api.fairly.day/openapi.json) serves Fairly's own iOS and
Android apps, and its sessions are issued only to them. Never ask a user for their Fairly sign-in
code. https://fairly.day/auth.md has the details; write to hello@fairly.day to ask about access.

## Bots that call you

Obsurvive, which makes Fairly, signs its bots' requests with HTTP Message Signatures (Web Bot Auth).
The public keys are at https://fairly.day/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory
