# Fairly

> Fairly is a mobile app (iOS and Android) that splits shared expenses by letting you say what happened: snap a receipt, speak a sentence, or type a few words. It drafts the fair split, explains its reasoning in one plain sentence, simplifies who owes whom into a few transfers, and never moves money.

## What it does

- Capture an expense three ways: camera (receipt is itemised line by line), voice (one sentence becomes a drafted expense), or text. Manual entry is always one tap away.
- Every split explains itself in one sentence and flags what it is unsure about instead of guessing.
- Settle a whole trip or month in a short, simplified list of transfers, each one explained.
- Learns a group's habits (who pays, what is never shared, when you settle); every learned rule is visible and editable in the group.
- People who are not on Fairly get a link that shows what they owe and the recent expenses behind it; after paying, they tap "I've paid" to record it. No account needed.
- Works offline; queues and syncs.
- Every automatic action is logged in plain language, marked AUTO and expandable to its reasoning. Any expense can be edited or corrected, and corrections stay in the history.

## The rule with no toggle

Fairly never moves money, and never posts to a group or messages anyone without the user's tap. People pay each other outside Fairly, however they usually do (Bizum, Revolut, bank transfer, cash), and then record the payment in Fairly. Fairly does not connect to any payment app or bank; it is not a payment service, wallet, or bank, and holds no funds.
