LAST UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

Fairly is an expense-splitting app. It drafts splits, proposes settlements, and drafts reminders. It never moves money, and it does not send messages or post to a group without your explicit tap.

What Fairly is not

Fairly is not a payment service, a bank, or a financial adviser. You pay each other outside Fairly, through whatever bank or payment service you choose, under its terms. A balance is marked settled only when a payment is recorded in Fairly.

Drafts and accuracy

Splits are proposals. Fairly explains its reasoning and flags what it is unsure about, but you are responsible for reviewing a draft before you approve it. You can edit or correct any expense after you approve it, and corrections stay visible in the history.

Your account

You can use Fairly for your first split without an account. An account is required to invite people. Keep your login to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (You › Account › Delete account); the privacy page says what is deleted and what stays in shared groups. We may suspend an account that is used to abuse other people or the service.

Free for friends and flats

Personal use with friends and flatmates is free. If paid plans are introduced, they will be opt-in and clearly priced before you commit to anything.
