Come home
even.
Forty expenses, four payers, three currencies. Everyone captures as you go, even in a restaurant basement with no signal. When the trip ends, one sweep checks for missing expenses, flags duplicates, converts currencies at the day's rate, and simplifies who pays whom into a few transfers. It stops to ask at every step that matters.

Questions from the trip
What if someone paid in a different currency?
Fairly keeps the original amount and currency on every expense and converts at that day's rate when you close out the trip. The rate is shown and editable. Nothing is rounded away; each person's net is preserved exactly.
What if we forget to add something until after the trip?
Add it whenever you remember. If the trip is already settled, Fairly drafts a small follow-up settlement for just that expense instead of reopening everything. The history shows both.
Does everyone need the app on the trip?
No. One person can capture everything, and the others get a link at the end that shows what they owe and lets them mark it paid. If more people install it, more people can capture, and duplicates are flagged.
